Trust me, if you've ever watched a 24 hour news network in the states, you would know what large multi media corporations can do to polarize a country. It's in their best interest - net neutrality or no net neutrality.
And your right it is less stressful without the internet in the world. It was. Because alot of things could get passed alot of people, and people had tighter communities but also tighter bubbles. The saying is "ignorance is bliss" but I totally get where your coming from. It is harder. It is more stressful because the world is just one giant basketcase, and one dynamite fuse away from turning into total chaos. But that's also just been human history, hidesight is always calming because we know we got through it.
