It's definitely a big job to do and in honesty they should stop doing that if that's not what you're going for. Big advice is don't pick a career because someone told you so, if there's something you like to do, more so willing, as a career. Go for it. And if anybody says otherwise, well take their pointers as a grain of salt.
I moreso teach age groups from 6-17. My anime program is more set for teenagers so around middle school/high school(11-17). Interestingly enough, most of the students I have in my classes are in home school. Though it is rare to get a group of high school students since.. they get overwhelmed if there's more kids XD which that's understandable
Any kids younger than 17 are ones I teach through our school break programs, we host all day art camps for kids to attend during vacation to do fun various stuff. We have about 5-6 instructors at our studio so we switch shifts in the time where one of us teaches, one of us assists. Sometimes I'll manage the studio and keep check with everyone to ensure they're classes are running smoothly and parents get the needed communication if necessary.
