New episode came out this morning—as happens every Saturday. Actually, new episodes, plural, because this chapter was too long for me to fit in Tapas' rinky dink character limits.
This chapter, Iyu breaks out of house arrest, and Aksana makes him an offer he can't refuse (because she's the queen, and all of her offers are offers he can't refuse).
Iyu Aksanevich is a bastard—literally, and, some would say, figuratively—but his father’s royal blood means he can use magic, which no commoner can. At least, that’s what he believes until he’s kidnapped during a peasant rebellion. With the rebels, he sees things he never thought were possible. Is magic really tied to bloodlines, or is there a different, more sinister reason that some people in this world can harness the sacred magic and others can't?
Check it out if you like fantasy! dead things! magic! action! romance! queer heroes! fomenting rebellion! succumbing to your worst impulses! working through trauma you didn’t even know you had! ideals worth dying for! and jokes!
