I will give my advice. Whether you like it or not will be at your own discretion, since it is largely based upon my own personal experience. If you really want people to pay attention to your story, then I am afraid you’ll have to fight for every scrap of attention you get. As long as it doesn’t involve AI or Wikipedia (Jimmy Wales’ pet project can go to hell), do whatever it takes to get the attention of the whole world. Promote on social media if you have to and if it works, it works. Make a TV Tropes page if possible.
You will also have to adopt some kind of advertising guff to really ensure people notice your work - gimmicks, snazzy taglines and all that stuff. Thankfully, living in a consumerist society means there are plenty of advertisements all over the place from which one can draw inspiration. As long as you try and ensure that people think your work is better and more popular than it already is, then it’s guaranteed to work.
