So apparently there's a new "Milestone" area in your Dashboard that says you need 250 Subscribers subscribed to a single comic to unlock tipping, not just unique subscribers overall.
The entire area has been updated and looks MUCH more official, and I do like th changes - but 250 seems like a big number to get for small-time artists. That's more like a dream than anything, and when I had access to the mobile app there were comics with less than 250 that had tipping.
I do like that we can specifically see what we get through tipping on our desktop now, and even see a percent ration for likes, subscribers and even views...but it feels like we're in for the long haul.
However. This does show that Tapastic is attempting to limit it to a degree. Not that it's bad, that's a necessary economic choice. You can't hand out free money shared from Tapastic's choice of advertisement videos/direct buying through coins as that won't let them profit well enough to have them still be capable of paying everyone, running the servers ad paying artists through normal ad revenue too.
Your thoughts on it?
