New to the WebComic Biz... Any tips?

How to would I go about promoting and retaining an audience?
I've worked at a small comic company...but it was for education so it was easier.
I'm working on doing something on my own. I'm working on my comic Here is the lovely comic <3
I wanted to know if anyone could how the audience is on here since I've tried other sites and had no bite. I've getting WAY more views than I've had on any site I've hosted on so I'm excited ...but nervous because I don't wanna screw it up.

Tapastic has a friendly community, and there are many threads for anyone to self-promote in. It feels easy to get involved and comment on other creators' works here. Two of the biggest tips are to update regularly, and have a buffer of at least a few completed pages in advance to help prevent schedule slips. If you also have the time for it, collaborations and events on Tapastic can help you reach a wider audience through other creators promoting your work while you promote theirs.

another tip is to make effort to reply to the people who leave comments, I have in the past dropped comics who ignore fans (i dont care about the excuses when people make effort in responding so should you)

Promote your work via social media(Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, whatever else...)

My main tip is to just draw. Get your comic done, dont worry about about trying to be super popular and getting MILLIONS of subscribers...just draw your comic, and make sure it reads well. If it's drawn well, reads well, and the colors are nice you'll get an audience. Dont spent more time complaining about how many subs you dont have than time you're using to get pages done.

Also, like @aronthemason said- interact with your readers. If they leave a comment, respond. I like my readers to ask questions or reply about the page I just posted- it makes me happy that they liked my page enough to leave a comment.

I started posting in May last year and I didn't know how to go about this site as well, but after getting back at the beginning of this month, I researched how to get by productively. Here's some tips for you (That I also gave another newbee here):

-Post on Thursdays, Fridays and/or Saturdays, the days with the most traffic at around early morning (9AM PST)
-Post consistently, have a schedule (or blast out 10 pages in 2 week like I did earlier this month, holy crap was that tiring xD)
-Don't expect your views to relate to your subs, your subs will grow over time much like your views, but it'll be slower
-It takes around 3 years to get a stable series flowing here, but don't be disheartened and keep at it as things will progress faster than you'll expect smile
-Disregard the last point if you're adding "BL" on your icon (which is Boy's Love, a very popular genre here, for which this part is a joke unless you plan on making that kind of content ^^")
-Keep being on the forums and help people grow as they'll also help you grow both in viewership as well as an artist smile

I wish BL was part of my works. There are like a handful of I guess BL situations but none of them are the main focus of any of my stories.
I noticed that the BL genre is the bread-winner here.
