I have an idea in mind that has a mix of drama, romance, mystery, and action (primarily drama/romance). I can write, but for anyone's who's interested, I'd willing to work with another 1-2 writers for the plot.
A little more about my experience: this would be my 2nd time collaborating - my first one didn't work out because the artist got super busy but you can check out what's left of that Webtoon (Silence before the Storm) but I'm dropping that idea. I have been reading Webtoons for 5+ years so I am aware of everything that has happened between now and then, and what generally keeps Webtoons good and alive.
General idea without revealing too much: A young woman framed for the murder of her ex's girlfriend is released from prison by a mysterious bailer. She seeks revenge on her ex who is responsible for framing her and taking away most of her inherited wealth, but she soon realizes that many things have already changed.
Art-wise, I can't really do art (can't draw people) so I would be looking to work with an experienced artist. The most support I can provide for the artwork is storyboarding/environmental art). I am also willing to put out a tiny commission of $5 per episode which is super clunky because I'm broke, but if you don't want it it's fine lol. I guess I'm just keeping it there as a small pocket incentive. I am looking for colored, digital artwork that probably centers a little on the manga art style. But I'm pretty flexible with different art styles.
If we are able to start getting episodes out there, please do know that I will try to monetize it so that you guys (especially the artist) can get paid for it. Please do know that I would be wanting to give the artist at least 50% share (not including me).
Finally, I'm a student so this Webtoon won't be my entire life. We won't be working on a rush schedule, but I'll expect reasonable goals/deadlines and responsibility from everyone involved. I would aim for an episode release every 2 weeks, with a length anywhere between 25-40 panels, Webtoon format.
Dm me if you're interested, and what you could contribute! If you want to help with the art, I would love to see some of your works as well, so feel free to link in a portfolio!
