@LordVincent, I'm all for it! I think helping each other out is the best way to combat these changes.
@theyaoiarmy, I agree, some of them are too fishy looking. I had to keep google searching whether they were legit and reading reviews. Then there is the issue of making sure I get the right kind of ads on the site. (ie no naked women). One site I found seemed promising as you can choose the sexuality and gender you want in your ads (ie Gay male ads), and reviewers have stated that the site is legit and have live customer service, etc. It's called Juicy ads. I haven't contacted them yet, waiting to cross that bridge when I build enough traffic.
So far the only real bad thing I've read is that their admin tools are awful, so idk.
@ReroOnyx, My point is that mature content creators shouldn't take any chances with Google. Especially since most of us know what is happening over on Youtube. The same rules apply pretty much everywhere Google is involved in, if not now then later on. I've also had some yaoi music videos on Youtube with zero sex and was censored eventually get taken down years later due to their current policy changes. This is why I knew not to even think of signing my mature site up with adsense. They want family-friendly content only. You can't even show a news clip with violence in it on their platform.
btw, the book covers you saw weren't always there. I put them up after deciding to not censor my site.
@Merle, Yeah I had a bit of an issue with Patreon, they suspended by page even though it was marked R18. They reinstated it once I moved everything Mature behind a paywall. lol! I thought it would be safe since my page was listed as adult which meant no one could find it unless they got the link from me but apparently it wasn't safe even with the R18 filter. So far Ko-fi has been good but then again it doesn't leave room for posting my comic even with ko-fi Gold.
