Hi everyone! Welcome back to another Nitty Gritty Tips! The thread where we get together to share advice on various topics related to Webcomicry.

This time we're going to be talking about Patreon, Ko-Fi, and Tipping on Tapas.
How do you use them to their fullest extent, and how do you get your readers to support you?
What makes a successful Patreon Campaign? What are good tipping rewards15? Is Ko-Fi just a tip-jar or are there better ways to use it?
Are there any other crowdfunding platforms that we should know about and discuss?
(excluding things like kickstarter, that's a whole other bag of worms)

In this thread we're gonna try and answer these questions and more!

Feel free to share your own Patreon & Ko-Fi pages as examples, but keep in mind that this isn't a self-promotion thread, so make sure it's relevant to the advice you're giving.

My tip for this thread: Different platforms appeal to different users, so try to come up with different rewards to cater to each platform. Patreon supporters tend to be older and have a steady income, whereas tippers on Tapas are younger, and have a lot of free time to collect coins. Ko-Fi donations act as a good inbetween for people who don't have a stable income, but don't have the time to collect coins to tip, like artists cough cough. What sort of content can you offer each type of user?
