Okay here's a fun one: Creators not doing proper research and putting totally incorrect plants, animals and foods into stories that are supposed to be set in specific places.
Disney is actually hilariously bad at knowing what animals live in England, for example. I was always really confused as a kid by how when Mary Poppins sings a duet with a "robin" the bird in question looked nothing like a robin. It was like... this big, dark coloured, sleek thing with the red breast in the wrong place...

If you're european, as Mary Poppins is supposed to be, you'll know that a robin is about half that size, kinda round, a light brown colour with a red patch from his face to his upper chest and totally adorable, like this:
Turns out, the settlers who went to America back in the day were not very imaginative and named any new creatures they found that looked even vaguely like ones from back home in Europe after the things they knew... even if they're nothing alike. Then centuries later, it never occured to Disney's team to have Mary Poppins sing with something that looks like a robin you'd see in London (I can only imagine Julie Andrews patiently shrugging this one off).
They made a similar mistake in the live action 101 Dalmatians, in which you get to see.... Raccoons.... in the rolling hills and winding roads of the English countryside. This film is from the nineties! It's not even that old! I just... what!?
Like... it's harmless, but it's just.... really obvious they didn't care and had a very America-centric mindset.
