All of these resources do not require that you pay anything for them. Some of them do have an option for payment, but you don't have to pay if you don't want to.
PLEASE TRY NOT TO USE THIS TO PROMOTE YOUR BOOK. There are many discussions about that. I want this thread to be used for me and you guys to improve our writing.
I wanted to make this discussion so that authors can share resources involving writing. These resources should help us to improve our writing as a community. Try to section each resource in a category, such as; Spellcheck, Covers, plot diagrams, descriptive words, etc. This way writers can find what they are looking for easily.
Spellcheck
Grammarly is a great resource because even the free version is better than your basic spellcheck. However, if you can afford the least expensive version I highly recommend it. Let me know if y'all know about other sites like this as my subscription to Grammarly almost over and I can't afford it again lol.
Book cover
Canva - for those of you who aren't artists I recommend you use this for your cover. I know that Tapas recommends this in their help section, but I also know that not everyone looks there.
Writing strategies - some of these videos were made for kids, but they are still super useful.
Show, don't tell

Plot diagram - the first video just briefly explains what a plot diagram is, the second video goes more in-depth about the plot diagram.
**Character Development **
I know I said that these would be free, but this author has great advice and you can always get your parents or partner to buy it for you lol. Plot Versus Character by Jeff Gerke
This one is free and super useful! There is a lot of information on this site. There are also videos, so if you don't want to read then go for those lol.
Descriptive writing
I absolutely love this next video! This is a little more basic, but I think that even experienced writers can still get something out of this video.
Dialogue
This video is for film writing, but I learned a lot about dialogue from it.
That's what I got for now, I'll post more as I find them. I hope this helps!
