Introduction
Hi! I’m a writer currently developing my fantasy novel Silent Prince and preparing to publish it on Tapas. I’m looking for an artist who can bring my main character, Val, to life for a thumbnail/cover illustration. This is my first time hiring an artist through Tapas, so I’m keeping everything clear, respectful, and organized.
Project Pitch
Silent Prince follows Val, a young boy born between the lands of fire and sea. As a mixed‑race child considered an “abomination,” he is kidnapped early in life and quickly learns how cruel the world can be—especially toward children like him who are trafficked and exploited.
Because Val is the son of two royal families, his parents launch a rescue mission with his older sisters, destroying everyone involved. With his parents presumed dead, his sisters inherit their respective kingdoms and attempt to rebuild them, but they are surrounded by treason, political decay, and enemies on all sides.
To survive, they give Val a hidden identity:
Royal Shadow Investigator.
His existence is kept secret, even from his own grandparents. Using a list of failing provinces, two assigned teammates, and a small budget, Val travels the kingdoms gathering evidence of corruption, treason, and potential alliances. Along the way, he forms a found family and becomes the unseen force cleansing the realm from the shadows.
But the deeper he goes, the more dangerous the truth becomes:
• both of his grandfathers are deeply involved in corruption
• the people begin to rally behind Val as a future ruler
• and his sisters must pretend he doesn’t exist at all
The story blends political intrigue, fantasy, trauma recovery, and the rise of a hidden hero.

Payment
This is a paid commission.
My current budget is $30 for a thumbnail/cover illustration.
As the project grows, I’m open to increasing payment for future pieces.
Schedule / Timeline
No strict deadlines.
Ideally, I’d love the artwork within 2–4 weeks while I finish writing Chapter 5 of my novel.
