Hey there!

I'm Gabby, an indie game developer and director at Two and a Half Studios.

We're searching for an established or well-practiced indiviual(s) to work with us on a new webcomic that would be a prequel to our game, A Date with Death33. Ideally, this would be someone with experience on both writing and creating the art for a webcomic, who has worked on their own projects in the past.

We're also open to hiring a writer and artist separately, but priority would go to a team who have past experience working with each other.

Required skills

  • Detail orientated
  • Open to feedback
  • Can stick to a deadline & communicative of delays

What we're looking for
Ideally, we're looking for someone who can play through the original game and help us develop this prequel webcomic from the ground up. You will be in charge of writing up a story outline and presenting it to us, and then writing the script under our direction. The amount of chapters is up for discussion, but we believe 10-15 chapters for a "season 1" would be a good way to start. The amount of panels per chapter is also up for discussion.

You should have an artstyle similar to or as detailed as the in game art.

Experience with action/drama/supernatural stories is a big plus. There won't be any romance in this story (for the main character, but side characters can be discussed).

Payment

This is a paid, commercial position at your own rate. Please include your rate either per chapter, per panel, or per words depending on what you are applying for (someone/a team who can do anything vs. an individual writer or artist).

Apply
To apply, please email gabby(at)twoandahalfstudios(dot)com with examples of your work and your commercial price. Emails without prices will unfortunately be disregarded.
