Here's mine for "Shadowbird" (no sub4sub, please only subscribe if you actually think it looks interesting)
A shadow always follows, a shadow never lies
Remains there, just behind you, til in the light it dies
What, then, of the darkness
That will not fade or hide?
The unwanted, broken shadows
That shout, defiant, at the light?
Flames rage high in passion
A beacon in the night
Entreating those around them
Do not gently walk the light
Be bold, the shadows shout
Fear, but never cease to fight
And, hidden, two birds wonder
Do they have strength to do what's right?
Sunlight comes and shadows fade
Forced once more to flee
Til birds take wing and loudly sing
What was, won't always be.
For "a new dawn"
The path once traveled can't be regained
The world once known can't be reclaimed
Mistakes are made, plans are laid
A scholar becomes a wandering shade
Broken trust resentment makes
Brothers lost to one heartbreak
In time he'll see how high the cost
One life taken... another lost.
For "let your star shine"
Stars shine brightest in the night
Unseen at day, in sun's sharp light
Wolves, they say, howl at the moon
Except for those who stars attune
Some wolves sing to those bright lights
Voices rising to the night
And if a wolf would like to find
A world that's changed, a world that's kind
She looks to the sky, and to those glows
She sings her song, and then, she knows
