OOOOH This if fun!!!
Small part of chapter 2
"Ray, don't," Bryan slowly rose from his seat.
Ray's golden eyes shimmered with the darker color of the wolf that lived inside of him. Challenging Bryan with his look as he flicked the lighter and held the flame under the letter. When the fire started devouring the pages, he dropped it into the sink. "Aww...and now we'll never know," he mocked at the letter that smoldered away.
She glared at him, forcing his head back, "I'm getting sick of your attitude. I OWN you."
Despite fire running up and down his leg and the hissing shock radiating from his scalp, he snarled, "Why don't you remind me by BREAKING MY OTHER LEG!"
“How are you feeling?” She heard Nesmir’s voice inside her head and opened her eyes to look at him. “You look so very tired.”
“I... am.” She nodded and bit her lower lip. “I’m over reaching, Nesmir... I don’t know how much longer I can do this. I... need to rest... for a long time.”
He dumped the lighter back into the drawer, slamming it close.
The three of them walked through the park as they waited for the train, and Sully pulled out a bag of cookies and offered some to the guys. Emmett reached for one and then stopped, eyeing his friend suspiciously.
“What?” Sully asked, giggling childishly. “I didn’t put any weed in ‘em this time! Honest!”
“I wouldn’t trust him,” Mallory said with a chuckle.

“Right.” Topher closed his eyes. “Well, Hannah the Purple Werewolf, it wasn’t exactly nice to meet you, but I don’t know what else you’re supposed to say in these situations, so I guess I’ll lie and say it was. Fortunately for me, I still feel like shit, which means I’m going to kick you out now. Which I can do, because you aren’t even allowed to be here.”
“Fine,” said Hannah. “But I’m coming back later.”
"I'm sorry. I tried. I really want to be a responsible uncle for him, but I failed."
"Try harder."
From the 10th chapter of my novel
I roll my eyes. "You're not going to die, Will. You're just being melodramatic at this point."
"For your information, I am not being melodramatic. I just don't understand the fact that people can somehow get into the Olympics by riding on two blades of thin metal. It just doesn't make sense to me," he complains as he continues to drag me with him.
I just like this bit from my second chapter. This is the two MCs meeting for the first time.
Casper rested his elbow on the bar and curled his lip. Just the way that lifted the scars slicing through his cheek to the light. “Bring your own bottle and I’ll pour it for you for a tenner. I’ll even lean in and pull my top down – really make it worth your while.”
The stranger leant in, hand cradling his jaw and his head tipping further sideways. Still smiling. Perhaps it was the booze tinting his cheeks pink. “If I unbutton my shirt too, can we call it five?”
“But why?” He was looking me over in the same way I recalled from the Flower Bed, more curious than lecherous or suspicious. “When we, er, spoke before, did we not get on well? You said that you wished we could have more time together.”
With a frustrated sigh, I pinched the bridge of my nose, unable to look at him for fear he might again beguile me with that foreign innocence in his eyes. “To be clear: you slept with a Flower named Oleander. I am a prince named Alfonse. I’ll ask you not to confuse the two.”
“You will never understand it because you are just a dumb rich kid playing some kind of CEO of a war company."
“So, we can´t kill them, but we might be able to outrun them, that is what you are saying at the moment?”
“You— you— pard!" I exclaimed, unable to check my language. "Why did you do that?"
Ace chuckled, drifting back over the roof. "I was curious." I watched his feet as they touched down. "I wanted to see if your heroic tendencies would overpower your silly phobia. Congratulations, it turns out you're a good person."
If you like reincarnated/transmigrated main character, I would like to share my novel.
“Here miss, I bring your favorite salad.” The maid put the tray on her lap and then offered a fork.
Selena blankly stared at the plain salad. She liked vegetable salad. However, this salad looked even plainer than grass. This was the real owner of her body’s favorite food? Was she perhaps a cow? Was she doing a super-tight-diet life?
Selena started to frown and didn’t manage her sick-looking face.
Mateo snorted. Suzuka and I shot each other confused glances. He must have noticed this because he continued, his hand gripped around the glass of water he was cradling.
“Yeah, we’re safe for now. Suppose she hulks out again though. What if she does it at a kindergarten, or in a mall?”
The protector’s utterances took me by surprise and the venom in his words more so. He’d sounded so kind when we first spoke.
“Don’t say that!” Suzuka replied, sounding annoyed. “It’s called a relapse, and you know it.”
“Yes! Iola’s doing it.” Dacia’s loud roar drowned out everyone else. “Archers, on my command. Loose.”
“What’s happening?” Iola looked up in surprise. “I haven’t done any...”
Ira cooed and moved her face close to his, admiring how his loathing kept him from moving back in fear, "To get what you want, you have to beat me. To beat me…"
"I have to become a monster." Disgust flashed in his eyes.
"And me? Do you pity me? Disfigured and wrangled into the claws of a beast," whispered Patience.
"No," he answered, "I like your mettle."His thick fingers wrapped around her wrist. "And you feel quite nice."
From Secunda's latest ep
“You’re bleeding... badly.” Iola stared at the other woman’s mortal wound though tear filled eyes.
“I... unngh... I’ll be... fine.” Dacia gnashed her teeth as she broke off half the shaft and flung it away. “Damn it, Iola... get a hold of yourself, or we’re all dying today.”
"Should you disobey, I will know immediately. As you humans may say, I have eyes in the back of my head, I then will say, I have my own way of knowing where you are at all times.” And at this—as if peeking over the top of the captain’s chair—her large, cuspidated ears gave a dyad of twitches.
“Because despite my idiocy, you saw something in me you have use for,” he calmly replied. “I don’t know what it is, but I’d like to hone that quality for you.”
“We don’t know that, big sister.” Yuma exhaled deeply. “The fighting might be over. We can maybe… go back home.”
“If home is still there...” Maedra wiped away a tear and looked at the six terrified youngsters that were now her responsibility.
Rattled and furious, she hit her pudgy fist on the steering wheel and spun the police car around. The wheels screeched on the tarmac, kicking up dust.
“Wh-what are you doing?” Thomas exclaimed from the passenger seat as his grip on the car grab handle tightened.
“What else?! I’m going to charge that Sandra with reckless driving.”
“Don’t you wish he was here with us now?” The thirteen year old gave her a smug smile. “Do you like him, Mae?”
“Uh… he’s got his good points… many.” Maedra suddenly felt uncomfortable, with a blush coming on.
“You look good,” I say. “I feel bad because you made an effort to cook and dress up, but I come here not putting the slightest bit of effort to present myself well.”
“It's fine. All of this is actually a last-minute decision so I couldn't have possibly informed you to wear something formal.” He smiles. “Let's just enjoy dinner.”
“It’s the only way, big sister.” Yuma hefted her stick and expertly twirled it in her hands. “Someone has to throw these hunters off the scent of the children. And you know well enough that I can take care of myself.”
“What are you thinking of doing, you little idiot?” Maedra stood up, her fear-filled eyes staring right into her sister’s calm blue ones.
“That is insane. I forbid it.”
“You’re no good at fighting and I’m no good at taking care of the youngsters, Mae.” Yuma’s tone would brook no argument. “I’d say we have our work cut out for us.”
"Bring me their heads." His commanding officer had said softly.
“Easier said than done.” Kadrek rumbled deep in his expansive chest, standing up again to his full height.
"Yes, hi," the man greeted and smiled just as sweetly—just as fake. "I'm your neighbor from two houses across," he pointed somewhere that I didn't bother looking at, "and I heard some distressing sounds coming from here. Just wanted to check up on you and see how you're doing."
"Oh?" I pretended to consider his words then laughed, motioning to my head with all the fingers of my right hand while my left gripped the meat cleaver tightly. "I'm a little clumsy. Sorry for the disturbance."
I glance over at Slade, "Let's split up, we can cover more ground that way."
Slade gives me a bizarre expression and speaks, "Are you really sure that is a good idea Jervy?"
