"Prince Jarl, I would suggest you better clothe yourself in front of the lady Isolde," The guard, likely a former Valkyrie, spoke with a voice higher pitched than her muscular and armored form let on. The white tattoos upon her chin and cheeks served as a striking contrast to the rest of her visage. "Had you obviously no shame in having her see you in such a manner."
"And I would suggest that you, sir," The prince responded with eyebrows narrow. "Fix your tongue before I have it removed by your faun companion there." He pointed aimlessly at the other guard although his tone was sharp.
“… you have your schoolwork, soccer, violin… so many other things to occupy your time. If you want company, you have me and your mum. Why waste it on a game? Just uninstall it as soon-”
“I have you and Mum?” she cut in, her tone a mix of incredulity and sarcasm. Her eyes flicked up to see her parents looking back at her questioningly. She took in deep breaths, her heart pumping so fast that all she could see in the corner of her eyes were stars. Blood rushed to her face as the anger pulsing in her veins grew out of control.
Eory said aloud, “Why should you think pain is worth feeling?”
Juree tapped his pen against his cheek, pondering his letter and Eory’s question “Because if all you felt was happiness, you wouldn’t even be able to tell you were feeling happiness any longer. You would have nothing to compare it to, after all. It would quickly become a neutral state—like feeling nothing at all."
Pharaoh Lyons`- Meditating within the gentle winds peeking for his Phone sigh in his Mind “...Jackie really is busy...Enlisted in the Royal Guards, huh…? Never would have guessed it, but things really do change...And Kitty...She hasn’t Texted me, or sent me a Letter since she left…” sigh “...I really hope the idiot is okay...”
Etva Moonstar- walking up a distance behind Pharaoh “You really should not be calling your Friends idiots, Pharaoh...Some might take it personal…And she is doing excellent, she IS with the Golden Sapphire now!!”
I heard someone walk into the bathroom, but I didn’t look up to see who it was. I moaned in pain when my phone rang, the loud ring echoed, through the bathroom. I pulled it out of my pocket, it was Eli. I slid my finger to the right and refused the call.
“Did you just hang up on me?”
I looked up. Eli walked into view of the small mirror above the sink. “How long have you been standing there?”
“Wait, wait.” Kristian hurriedly helped her down to a sitting position. “Take it slow, Farah. You don’t need to do this.”
She shook her head vigorously. “It’s my fault, Kristian, can’t you see?!” Turning to face him, the tears fell like rain down her cheeks. “If it wasn’t me who banned that guy yesterday, he wouldn’t have snapped! He wouldn’t have shot Siti! Siti wouldn’t be dea-“
“They have called me that,” Rebecca said. “They also had called me a tribade. But I have come to terms with what I am. I know that I shall marry a man of suitable prospects when my parents find one, but I always knew I could not be happy unless I was with another woman. But then I met Simonetta…”
“Simonetta, I know…” Hawk nodded. “And you’re young.”
“Yes, down in the cellar… some food and wine, and a bed as well.” Sora nodded, her golden curls bouncing around her pretty heart shaped face. “Come, let’s take her inside.”
“Can we trust her?” Hari whispered as Arden lifted Rubia into his arms. “Who is she?”
“Impossible,” the Professor said. “None of us have been inside the tomb yet. We have not even securely located it. This was probably an ancient one taken by bandits long ago who dropped it here, you see. Perhaps Mr. Crocodile’s spell last night uncovered it.”
“No, this is definitely what attacked us last night,” Mr. Crocodile said.
“Aye, sister.” He nodded, staring back ahead again. “Long has it been since we have had fresh meat, and we need it more so now as our pack grows ever stronger.”
“I can’t wait.” The dark haired mother-to-be growled. “If I have to eat any more of that accursed Giagrein meat, my pup with be born looking like one.”
ee me now? I did it, she addressed her mental image of him. She had a group of tight-knit friends who shared her interests, a boyfriend who loved her for who she was, a cool job… and she still played soccer.
Remember that, Kristian? Soccer?
The loading circle flashed on her screen. It was almost done at 95%. She bit her lips, a mixture of nervousness, anxiety, and excitement coursing through her veins.
“Farah, I want you to remember. You’re the best thing that happened to me in this world.”
“We all hunger, but I say patience.” Okarg growled, showing his disgust for Malach plainly. “Gather strength. And then we hunt as a pack, bring down the most we can and feast all night.”
“We want to feast now.” One of Malach’s females snarled and crouched low as if to leap into the air.
“Could you really stand up to them?” Rebecca asked.
Mr. Crocodile leaned back and closed his eyes. “Torinre was right when she said the Khairataw cannot infiltrate the priesthoods of the old gods. They are not stupid and the gods don’t like such disloyalty. Although he is strongest in Crocodilopolis, Sabik is not a god to be challenged lightly.” His eyes flashed open. “And neither are his priests.”
The story's not posted yet but:
"I know, but I got used to having someone else in bed. It feels so much colder without anyone there," he said, his voice already drowsy.
Taeyong blushed and shifted back against him, carefully placing his hand over Daehyun's. "It's cold because it's February, Yeobo," Taeyong whispered, fluttering his eyes closed when he felt Daehyun nuzzle his nape, and smiled.
"This isn't right! This is my find, this is my way out."
The fairy rolled her eyes. She grabbed my arm and the bear-shifters let me go. Her touch wasn't cold nor was her palm sweaty, but I wanted to chop that arm off. It felt like shackles. Before I could do anything, she spoke: "And this my way to a promotion. See you later, Millicent."
As she teleported us out of there, I heard Millicent release a scream of anger and the unmistakable sound of glass shattering.
“The video footage of the day shows that at 1.23am, you with your daughter on your back first jaywalked across the road, potentially endangering others. Then, at 1.34am, you aggressively pushed past an old lady who was blocking your way in a narrow alley, causing her to stumble and fall. Finally, at 1.45am, you lashed out at the doctor and nurses in the hospital, accusing them of not saving your daughter in time. Do you agree?”
The defendant mouthed a silent “yes”.
