I always try and write an interesting first line to get reader hooked. I always like and see how people start off their novel. People have many ways to start the novel and I just wanna see yours!

Chapter one:

Kôra awoke with a gasp, jolted into a sitting position on his bed.

(Clichéd as hell, I know. The real nightmare starts when you wake up, though ️)
