Upon hearing news of her engagement to His Grace, Avalor Laine sets out to abandon her status as a noble and live out the rest of her days peacefully in hiding, free of any arranged marriage. However, when she goes to strike up a deal with Lord Nikkolas, she soon realizes he is much more calculated than she would have previously thought.
Having arranged the marriage himself, Nikkolas will delude himself into thinking Avalor might still fall for him if it means marrying the woman he has for so long dreamed of building a life with.
