This is my first novel, titled The Shadow of Spirit. It is a dark fantasy story that follows the journey of Kaito, the protagonist. At the moment, the novel is focusing on a flashback of one of the characters, Genzō—an old man with a dark past who has taken Kaito under his wing.

In a world divided into four great nations, all under the supervision of the Reketai, Kaito must move through hostile lands in search of revenge against Mugentamashii, the organization that took away what he held most dear.
Along his journey, he will be forced to face many Spirit Bearers.

Yes — in this world, there are people capable of wielding spiritual power, that is, using spirits themselves.

These beings appeared more than a thousand years ago, sparking a devastating war against humanity. In order to survive and win, humans were forced to seal the spirits within themselves.
Kaito, born without a spirit, must carve his path through this world using the special blades given to him by his master.

This is the latest chapter I’ve written.
As it is a flashback focused on one of the characters, it serves as a great starting point to get an idea of the world and the story.

Already an outcast even before he steps into the Tokyo Sanctum, one of the last sorcery institutions in the world, Ace is thrust into a world of phantoms and sorcerers, burdened with a mysterious Will he cannot recall, one that demands he bring an end to sorcery.

The first act of Season 2 wraps up in just a couple of chapters, read Garden of Severed Wills to find out how the story is unfolding. There will be plenty of action with high emotional stakes and character moments and I promise it would be worth the binge read~
