I don't know if you're also interested in fantasy stories with mature contents that lean to the grey/ dark side?
If so, I could offer a story about a battleangel who is captured by a demonlord. What sounds like a heavy cliche is not a damsel in distress story. It's more about understanding and inner fights (okay, with a lot physical fights also), and a slow pace that gives enough time for character development.
(At least I hope so.
