Hi yall, this is my first series, if you like Victorian era type romance stories, give it a read! The story has a lot of old English, partly because I just like that style of writing, plus I thought it'd be fitting for the time period that it's set in. It's an enemies to lovers story, but not in the traditional sense that they would be like two rival kingdoms. Our protagonist sets out to abandon the kingdom upon hearing that she is to be engaged, but finds herself the unwilling participant of a courtship from His Grace. So, while she has to deal with the everyday life of a noble, she also has to put up with the ml's (male lead) attempts to get her to fall in love with him.
The link is for the 7th chapter, but there will be a new one out Monday
Preview: House Laine prepared their only daughter Avalor with proper etiquette, elegant fashion taste, and a vast wealth of knowledge, all in the hopes that she might attract a good husband- and now she has!
Delighted was the marquess to hear that she had garnered the attention of His Grace, Lord Nikkolas of House Barclay. Now, all that remained for Avalor would be to accept his hand in marriage, except it seems she may be coming down with a case of cold feet!
Perhaps, Lady Avalor knows His Grace a little differently than we do. Let’s just pray that they haven’t found themselves in a concerning battle of wits amidst their lover’s quarrel, for who could turn down His Grace?
