Split of the Worlds (or "Weltenbruch" in German) is a novel in the genre of dark fantasy, with angels and demons, quite some action and violence, but also spicy stuff (yeah, you could say it's (dark) romance too, kinda), definitely mature.
Two main characters telling their POV; 3rd person limited.

You don't hesitate to delve into cruel fights and crooked pleasures? Into the darker aspects of thoughts and souls? You're in for inner monologues? Looking for (hopefully ) realistic character development and the grey in a world full of black and white? You like the slowest of slow burn? And you still hope for some kind of good outcome? (Hope is a great concept. )
Then maybe this story is for you.
Or maybe not.
Please don't expect a light read. Please don't expect a "woman falls for the bad boy"-story. Please don't expect porn or a gore-fest. And also no "happily ever after"-approach. No "rich lord impresses with his fancy stuff", no typical "damsel in distress".
Oh, and this is a mature and adult story, only grown-ups inside.

and whew, we’re finally at valhalla arc peak lore hours

we revisit:
• the unhealed world scars from alioth vs nibelung
• spectral warriors defending a holy sanctuary they never left
• fog that plays timeline flashbacks like a cursed projector
• and our first big name-drop of the arc’s core threat: nidhogg

this is the start of a multi-part arc finale, so it’s basically the moment where all the myth crumbs snap together
