Hi there ^-^
I'm a long-time writer, and I recently started my first Tapas series. It's a series of creative non-fiction vignettes called My Dog Dies At The End. It's about shared pain, surviving, and dealing with the aftermath.
The story itself has already been completed-- something I wrote for a creative writing class. I have it scheduled to update twice a week for twelve episodes. The first episode is rather short, more of an opening. But they become slightly longer.
My Dog Dies At The End
An excerpt from a future episode:
As I pet the dog, I looked over at the shed in our backyard. Memories of that day, the one we donât talk about, replayed in my head. The memories of the poison-honey boy, how he came to my doorstep, how we played in this backyard, how we toured the forgotten shed, how he whisked me away in the promise of adventure.
Before my thoughts ventured too far down that rabbit hole, I saw them. The fleas. I couldnât distinguish the number of fleas from his black fur. Panic burst into my chest. I hurried inside, shut the door, and scrubbed myself clean.
