This doesn't count, but I'm going to be a cheat. While it hasn't ever been stated in Rigamarole, it's sort of a broken fairy tale in a number of ways.

the male lead and female lead are siblings, not love interests
the female lead is the night in shining armor, trying to save the male lead

Apparently I can't write a novel without at least a LITTLE fairy tale themed to it. There is a little girl named Ayla who is obsessed with a show about prince and this concept is woven into the female leads life
