I'm 24 currently in the Philippines wanting to move to maybe Canada or US someday haha. I've worked on Ducktales 2017 as a character animator before XD but now I'm a 2D illustrator since I wanted to regulate my time to 8-5 regular job so I can work on LnR more. (Animators are freelancers so it's project based and not paid by the hour)

I composed a song with FL studio once and make music mash-up remixes of my favorite songs. I guess I can sing, according to some of my friends. I also take photos, sometimes by luck it looks good and some are meh.

I like roleplaying sometimes and I do want to have more international friends :V

I've done a lot of things in my life I guess. I'm in Northern California, a place I wanted to live since I was like 2 years old. I'm not doing bad with art as a job actually, arm hasn't given out yet. I also work as a blacksmith pounding hot iron and swinging hammers and things. Knives, strikers, fire pokers & stuff like that. I also cut gemstones and hammer on silver and jewelry. I've worked as a horse trainer for ex-racehorses, and also a trainer for baroque dressage. I've worked as a software developer, have an app on the app store, I've worked as a hardware programmer too. I just interviewed with the new york times last week, but for web development not my comic dagnabbit all to heck the little wretches. I used to work in the shipping industry with weather models and routing algorithms and deciphering mathematics treatises in norwegian and arguing with insurance agents and taking care of people's 401ks. Before that I front desked for a big law firm in San Diego. Before that I was an airport manager at a little FBO and an air traffic controller, roger that november etc cleared for landing. Went through ground school. I worked with sick doggos at a veterinarian for a few years. Before that I worked as a pianist for my university, the university opera, city symphony, childrens choir, and about five churches/bars etc. around my hometown in not-California. Long time ago. I have not driven a vehicle with fewer than 24 gears in like 6 whole years. I'm so cheap I made the shoes I wear every day (super comfortable). Oh yeah and I also work as a farmhand in a vineyard. hence all the tractoring I guess. I love to watch wildlife, animals will walk right up to me. I've caught a deer with my bare hands before. I let him go though, it was just a small one. I dunno. this is a fun thread, really enjoying reading everyone's stories.

Hi everyone!! I'm Montse (though here I mostly go by Chita) and I'm a 18 years old girl from southern Spain.
Right now I'm studying industrial engeneering away from my city, so it's a new experience for me. My main hobbies include drawing (oh, surprise), reading, videogames and watching films or animated series. I'm a mess when it comes to watching live action series, as I often get distracted during the episodes, I guess 45/50 minutes it's too much for me XD.
Personality wise I'm pretty introverted and not very talkative, I believe my spirit animal is one of those home cats who like to sleep all day.
Right now I'm working on my very first comic and I keep wondering how people can work on other drawings aside since I barely have time to finish pages by the update deadlines

Hey y'all, I'm Joanne, 29, Taurus, ISFJ, of Cantonese descent, born, raised, and still living in Northern California with my husband and cat.

I cry at touching moments on screen, but I have a fine line of what I find cheesy and will roll my eyes at.

I graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design when I knew I couldn't cut it in the pharmacy program. I also have a minor in History. At the time that I graduated, the job market was still kinda crappy, and without landing any interviews, I decided to focus on getting my internet presence off the ground and do freelance.

I'd say the best things to come out of that was 1. getting noticed by Ubisoft for a couple of my fanart pieces that resulted in them inviting me to attend E3 in 2017 as part of their star players program and 2. getting on Tapas and experiencing this great community.

Sure I've got my own wild dreams of making it big with my work, but really all I want in life is to live peacefully and stress-free with my husband and keep chugging along in my creative endeavors.

I'm 33, french/asian, not married.
I'm probably a chaotic neutral, but mostly considered as an insensitive sarcastic asshole. The things that put my mind at peace are puppies and food. I'm introvert (sometimes to the misanthropy border, not sure where the limits are).
I don't give a crap about a lot of things in life. Sometinhg bad happens? Ok. I'll get bitter for a moment and then, go on. Something good happens? Ok, I'll get happy for a moment and then, go on. It's not always been like that, but I guess I've grown to be a bit too bitter about everything.
I draw since childhood because interacting with other people was always a chore to me. It's still complicated, even if I have friends and a bf, I am that grumpy one of the team with shitty humor.
I'm a proffessional mess, tried a lot of things and failed at all those things (not always because of myself, ok? XD).
What I'd like for the future?
I'd like to be rich enough to build a secret cave, then, arrange it to have a good internet connection and dig a tunnel to join it with a secret little garden where I'll grow my own food. Also I want a tank-flamethrower as my car.

Pretty nice idea isn't this? Well, I'm a 17 year old existing overseas from the United States. Generally speaking, my main hobbies would be watching anime, playing video games, and reading manga and light novels (or sometimes western material like anything by Tolkien or the Sherlock Holmes novels). In relation to Tapas, I haven't gotten around to any projects yet, but when I do they will probably be novels since I've never been much of an artist (even though I do prefer visual media, as my ability to conjure images in my head is poor). If I had a reason for writing, I'd say at the moment it is to get my ideas out there so that I can potentially inspire others to create their own works.

Anyways, that's me. Here's to hoping that we'll see each other again and have a plethora of ideas to spread!

Am late to join the fun, but I'm not good with this kind of thing, so let me just stared.

I'm 22 years old, and from a country named Indonesia. I'm from Chinese ancestry for the most part cause my grandma is a native (or so I was told, never really know them well... ^^; ) whom Chinese is still on elementary (or kindergarten...) level. XD

I'm not married and didn't planned to (just hoping that it stays that way). Pretty sure I'm an aromantic.

I'm striving forward to became a mangaka that also wants to wrote novel, but my main dream is to became a mangaka.

I'm still learning, and my art and grammar is still not at a level I wanted it to be.

I have a hard time building motivation so I often goes on hiatuses without giving any news to my readers sometimes...

...That's makes me feel bad. (:з」∠)

Still saving moneys to bought some essentials drawing tools but I manage to published some comic chapters with my phone (with a lot f hiatuses...), so I'm kinda proud for this.

Still wanting to go to the higher grounds and become a published mangaka one day. OwO

Hey there!
First of all, best of luck on your dreams!
Next, I also publish it with my phone, and doesn't cost me much.... Just the pages and pencil nibs and black pens....
I use a photo editor app for colouring, and I thought this could help you so it is FREE and available on google play. It has a sky blue thumbnail with a camera and scissors embossed in white. It can take a while to get the hang of using it, but after choosing your image just go to

Effects -> fill.
Then click the A button once to make it S, twice to make it B(all, shape and brush). Click on the brush tool to get other tool options and change the colour and opacity from below panel, and maximum zooming from above. When you are done, click the tick and tada!

Thanks for the tips. What does the app called?

I usually draw the sketch on paper (for comics that need me to make it as proportional as possible) since I'm a s*cker when sketching on my phone, then took a photo and just importing it to medibang (and sometimes I use ibis X for illustration).

I'm actually quicker when sketching things out from paper but unfortunately I don't have scanner to not make it blurry.

I'm pretty obsessed with clean lines so I'm kinda f*cked when drawing digitally, though I actually love doing traditional better. XD

Yup. But beware- you can only fill in one colour at a time using the fill effect. After that you will have to tick it, go there again and then do it for next colour. Took me some time to get used of, but you can check the results in my comic

I'm from America, i hope to move out of my small hometown.

My passion in life is art I've been in artistic schools most of my life, but outside of that i love to bake/cook and sing/dance along with my favorite songs. I'm going in between jobs at the moment and I'm still trying the fine my way in life.
I am an introvert that wants to be more open with people and i want to show the personality that i display in my personal life.( it can really be a struggle tho XD) i like unique fashion things that are exotic and flashy are my favorite!
