“Treason?” Raphael said, pointing at Strannick. “That’s quite the accusation to make when you have a traitor right next to you.”
Toji bounced his finger between himself and Strannick. “Actually, there’s two people in between us, so technically—”
Raphael waved it away. “In either case,” he said, fighting to keep his temper in check. This kid really was a pain in the ass, more so now than he was when he was just God Prince Toji Grace Helman. “Naming treason is a huge call, Your Highness.”
“But genocide is better?”
“No, it isn’t,” he sighed.
“Okay, cool, because I was sure you would say it was okay since you helped make that happen.”
The archangel stared at him, the clamoring beginning anew. Toji met his gaze, unflinching, his red and blue eyes like cold stones set in his scarred face.
“Highness, you better weigh each word you say carefully from this point forward,” Raphael said, his tone cold. “Unless you have evidence to back these claims up, you have no cause to begin pointing fingers.”
“As a matter of fact, I do.”
!!New Chapter Drop!!
Toji and the rest are heading toward Gods Hall to confront those who were ultimately responsible for closing the barrier that separates their world from the Mortal Realm. The Divine are less than thrilled to see Toji again after fifty years, especially after he makes some serious allegations.
