Fun fact: the inspiration for this work came when I was 17, from a scrapped novel I wanted to write but couldn’t.
Fun fact: My current novel is inspired by real-life people, which is kind of morbid given that I'm writing a murder mystery based on that.
Fun fact: The cover of my novel, Shackles, is drawn by my good friend. And the person on the cover looks very similar to Levi in Attack on Titan for a good reason.
Uh, sure! Random fact time:
My two main characters, Jaime and Jade, both swapped personalities before the comic began; originally Jade was quiet and demure while Jaime was bombastic despite the inverse being true now! You can even see it here in the first digital drawing of Jade, circa... 2015??
(I don't have any old Jaime's cause I lost the sketchbook they were in.)
But yeah! Here's a link to the comic today:
curious facts: all the important demons and archangels on my comic are based in demonology and angeology myths/creatures. and a fun fact is that most people is shocked to see my Hell is beautiful, and I did it because with angels and demons/ Heaven and Hell I wanted to relativize the "good" and "bad" terms.
Here have my comic
In my country, certain bakery goods have names insulting or parodying people in power (Military and religious) as in the early 20th Century most of the bakers were honest to god Anarchists that came from Europe to avoid political persecution.
For example some names were:
"Vigilantes" (Watchmen for the cops)
"Bolas de Fraile" (Fray Balls for the church)
"Cañoncitos" (Little Cannons for the military)
"Pedos de monja" (Nun's farts)
"Bombas de Crema" (Cream bombs, once again with the Military)
"Sacramento" (Sacrament)
"Libritos" (Little books, against state funded education/propaganda)
Fun fact about my comic: This is not the first version of it and in earlier versions the main character had a sort of hallucination / imaginary friend that ended up becoming a real living being but because of plot reasons he ended up becominga normal character (That hasn't show up yet)
Random fun fact: When a caterpillar turn into a butterfly it doesn't just grow wings, its whole body melts with the exception of a part of their body called "imaginary disk" and then the goo turns into the new body. Despise its whole body being remade from scratch it seems to still retain memories from when it was a caterpillar.
Woah! I think I would never be able to draw on my cell phone! my sincerest respects I use a wacom tablet and a ten year old laptop
And as a curious fact: it seems that technology hates me and threatens to explode every time I try to use it, that is why I always draw with traditional techniques such as watercolors. In the case of the comic I made a pact with my laptop to let me work on each page for at least an hour a day before it starts making strange noises.
I work on my comic on the Ipad and I also switch back and forth on my phone, it can be a pain but I'm used to it !!! And also my art style was hella inspired by Samurai Jack and The Walking Dead comics!
Fun fact about me: I started anime style drawing in September 2019
Fun fact about my comic: Most of the things that happen in my comic, did happen to me in real life. I just changed them, so they fit the story. I basically made a story around all the bad things I experienced in my life (just to be clear, my parents aren't dead, as the parents of my MC, but they were never there when I needed them, and they weren't supportive with my hobbies at all. That is an example on how I changed things to fit the story.)
Here is my comic if you want to check it out:
HERE WE GO!! My comic came from a terrible sleep paralysis hallucination I had back last winter. The plot, the central male character, the setting, and the robot designs came directly from that nightmare/hallucination. My eventual goal is to capture the uncomfortable, horrific, claustrophobic feeling of that hallucination.
This comic is how I cope with my sleep paralysis condition.
(omg what?? did i hear MID SEASON FINALE?? read my comic now while it isn't disgustingly long and I will love you forever and sell my soul to you)
also op I LOVE YOUR COMIC!! perfect art style for the type of horror you're writing. reminds me of weird french horror comics I used to read as a kid
I'll toss in two awesome facts.
1) Before they were Thanksgiving dinner, Turkeys were actually worshipped as gods by the Mayan civilization.
2) You are going to love reading Pantheon.
What's Pantheon? Well, I am glad you thought so. I want to create a story that connects all the pantheons of the world—Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Hindu, Shinto, Slavic, Celtic, African, Korean, and more—and brings them together to the modern world. It's Urban Fantasy combined with elements of Sherlock Holmes and Jason Bourne. And maybe just a dash of John Wick.
