Because everyone deserves the opportunity to learn about themselves with properly tested psychoanalytic equipment, and not just Buzzfeed quizzes. ^^
This inventory is pretty much what it says: it measures how much you want to change the way you behave...kind of. Just do it; you'll see.
Now it's time to take the quiz! Indicate your feelings about each statement with numbers -2 through +2: -2=Much less than I currently am, -1=Less than I currently am, 0=I do not want to change in this trait, +1=More than I currently am, +2=Much more than I currently am. Read very carefully~. Scoring directions are at the end.
The Change Goals Inventory
- I want to be talkative
- I want to be reserved.
- I want to be someone who is full of energy.
- I want to be someone who generates a lot of enthusiasm.
- I want to be someone who tends to be quiet.
- I want to have an assertive personality.
- I want to be sometimes shy, inhibited.
- I want to be outgoing, sociable.
Scoring
To calculate your score, first reverse the values for Statements 2, 5, and 7 (change -2's to +2's and -1's to +1's, and vice versa). Then add the values for all 8 items, and divide the total by 8.
...But what does this score mean? This inventory was actually designed to measure how much people want to become extraverted, not just how much they want to change in general. This is why 2, 5, and 7 get reversed: if you want to be way more reserved than you currently are, that's gonna tank your extraversion score.
The highest score you can possibly get is a 2, and the lowest, of course, is a negative 2...just like the numbers you used to rate the statements, right? This inventory is so cleverly designed; I kinda love it~.
Anyway, you can use that range (-2 to 2) to gauge how much of a wannabe you are. XD If you're negative, you're probably wishing you were more introverted, and if you're positive, you're probably wishing you were more extraverted. If you're zero, then you don't wanna change at all. Lucky you!
FYI, I got a 0.375. So I guess I want to be more extraverted...but just a little. I actually voted 0 on all but 2 statements, so for the most part I'm fine with the way I am. ^^
