Hi, my name is Carlos Ramón Advincola Jr., an author in the Bronx, NY. I'm a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy novels for young adults (YA) and middle graders (MG). This is my first time getting into webcomics, and from what I've seen and read I'm a huge fan of it. I've already written three books with a fourth one coming out shortly. The manuscript is nearly complete.
Enough about me, let's dive into the webcomic that's so eager to be born! The story takes place in the year 2040, where human civilization is completely wiped out and ravenous monsters are roaming the Earth. Most of the creatures are self-created, while others are inspired by the world of D&D. In this story, the narrator is a Hispanic young man around thirty years old who wishes he can rewrite history. He feels responsible for what happened to his world, family, and friends. He starts writing in a journal hoping someone from 2016 can stop him from bringing upon the Armaggeddon. How will he be able to send his journal back in time? With the help of a magical agate stone, the young man can send his work back to where it all started. Does he have a particular person in mind? No. The audience/reader will be the ones who encounter the journal. The series will contain many elements from the Bible such as: divine beasts, the war in Heaven between the Lord and Lucifer, and angels of all ranks.
This story is based on my recently published book, titled The Warrior's Journal. Each episode will be called an ‘entry’. The art style I'm hoping for this webcomic is fantasy. There will be a lot of action in this series, including twists and turns that I want to leave the readers wanting more. I've worked on this series since high school, always taking things out and adding new material. I need the artist to not only just draw the scenery, fight scenes, characters, creatures, etc. but also help with the creative process. If they have any ideas, suggestions, comments, any kind of feedback will be heard. We're going to be in a team and you'll be treated as a valuable member of it.
This will be a paid job if you were wondering. We can negotiate the price privately. And when our readers start paying to read our work, we will split it 50/50. If you feel as if you're the right fit for the job, please not only comment below but also give me a preview of your work. You can either send me a link to either your Artstation, past webcomics, and/or favorite drawings done by you from your personal social media sites.
Super excited to be working with you and can't wait to start on this new journey with you as well. Many of you might have a ton of questions for me and the project, The Warrior's Journal, and I'd be glad to answer them all here or privately.
