Quality and size (anyone know how to do it properly)?

so i noticed when i post 940px with 350 dpi on tapastic...it looks okay
but if i post the same comic on other sites like Twitter or Deviant art or 9gag .
it starts to look weird ..like you have to squint a bit, so i was wondering if im doing something wrong
do i have to put even higher DPI
or soemthing
also after i do the lineart in medibang I imm go to Phostoshop to color it (not sure if that has something to do with it changing the programs n stuff )

Those sites most likely have compressors at work.

You really don't need to post work on the web at such a high resolution, just makes it easier for people to steal your art. You should always work at a high resolution (and print at such) but publish at 72 dpi for web viewing.

Also are you saving the images as jpg or png? jpgs look pretty bad through compressors, pngs fare a bit better.

I'd agree with @joannekwan . If your DPI is too high then automatic compressors will shrink your image. Then it gets fuzzy and stuff. You can still upload comics that are the same dimensions, 940x height, but put the dpi at 75-100DPI and it shouldn't compress.

i thought the image would be pixalated on 72 ?
i have PSD and i save JPG original size then 940 then 800

Things only look pixelated if you're zooming in/blowing up an image or if it's gone through a compressor. Technically speaking, dpi doesn't matter for monitor viewing, what really matters is the dimensions of the image (ie. 940 x however long). And your dimensions sound large enough that your images will look fine on most displays.

I just prefer 72 dpi cause it's easy to remember and I don't want people stealing high quality assets of my stuff.

just to be sure...is it advised to made 940 px comic...or lets say 2000 px and then go to image size and make it 940?
