Question to those who wear hearing aids or know someone who does

The MC in my webtoon is hearing impaired , ( so Am I btw)
because I wanted to express her experience realistically ,and not just show it in her ear from time to time
I made this panel

So my question is , if even the newer hearing aids have this issue ,because I based this on my experience and I have an old-ish model ( that works with batteries)?
while I based the one she wears on newish ones

My brothers have the newer hearing aids and it still buzzes from time to time when they adjust the volume and stuff. Not as much as the older ones which were buzzing more often.

My hearing aids are from 2016 and they still get some dumb feedback issues. I have to get new ones this year. i can let you know how the newer models react if you want. I a supposed to be going in March. Sorry I can't give you accurate feedback currently. I have bilateral hearing aids that take batteries. This is what my hearing aids look like (well mine are red) they go behind the ears. but they are very uncomfortable and smack into my glasses I don't think I would get this kinda again.

my grandpa used to hate wearing them because of feedback. he was 102 so we just let him go without and everyone would just yell when we wanted him to hear things. i love my grandpa

I have a similar one (BTE), mine are from 2015 I think, I have to change them soon too

Gah changing them is annoying. Cause you have to get used to them all over again. And the darn things are a bit of a pain. But then again I got my first pair when I was 23 so makes sense I see them as a pain hahaha. I wasn't wearing them all my life as my parents never noticed my hearing loss and I honestly thought I was just weird that I couldn't hear people so I just told them to yell. My parents always told me I had problems spacing out and not listening. it didn't even occur to me I needed to get a hearing test until I was 20 and then I was reluctant and refused to get hearing aids for three years after cause I didn't want to be weird. XD

Mine only give feedback if I cup my hands around them or adjust the volume. It would sometimes happen when I held a phone really close to it, but for any feedback to happen something has to be extremely close to it.

I wear hearing aids and only get feedback when I'm close to something or when I am wearing hat that covers my ears.

Yeah feedback is annoying.

I wore my first one when I was in my early 20s as well, but in my case I noticed it by myself
whenever someone was talking I kept following them with my right ear , even when I realized that I thought it was okay to go on normally until I found out my right got affected as well

Everyone made me feel really awkward about my hearing so it's always been a shameful thing for me. I am sure someday I will get used to wearing my hearing aids though. XD
