Q1: Hottest Character
Honestly, Dahlia. She's a side character that hasn't made her debut in the story yet, but yeah. She can shapeshift between male and female (or whatever she wants to look like) but she sorta stays true to her original appearance, and every aspect of her whether she's being ultra feminine, androgynous, or hyper masculine (in my head anyway) is just sexy. Maybe I can explore that more when she gets a stand-alone story.
There's also a villainous assassin called Fei that i actually seemed to have gone out of my way to describe him as a little beauty.
by stories, complete and wip:
SoF: Dahlia. Zane. Zane is Dahlia's half brother and in my head drools
Unnamed Novella: Pierce (imagine Karl Urban as Cupid)
SoF unnamed Sequel: I'm only a chapter in! So...I'mma say Amadeus.
Q:2 Smartest Character
Pasha. XD He's only a year old when he briefly appears, but he'll have a bigger role in the future. He's meant to be very smart and even eventually solves a big problem in the world, almost single handedly.
But if we're talking characters in the first story, probably Amadeus. He seems to be very sharp. He's only a tertiary character, but he's been demonstrating his intellegence.
Q:3 What story is next?
For now I'll be writing stories set in the same world. My tentative short-term plan is an introductory duology or trilogy with smaller stories scattered between and after. In fact the next thing I post will probably not be the direct sequel to Songs of Fate but a novella centering on a smaller, more concise and contained story.
Q4 What is your writing super power?
Powering through I think? Just getting it written is 99.99999999% of the trouble a lot of people have. Although this super power can be spotty XD
Q5 How long do your couples usually know each other before they become official?
This is a problem. IDK yet Romance hasn't been the main focus of my writing in a very long time. I think it will depend on the couple going forward. That's what the "smaller stories" will concentrate on.
7: What character is your favorite to write (story by story)
Britiana has always been one of my favorite characters. She started life as a rp character so she's been with me a very long time.
8: Who is your most difficult character to write?
Chrystianna. I just don't really connect with her like I do with almost every other character. Even the "bad guys" are easier to write. IDK why. So I'm always a bit afraid she comes off one dimensional?
9: What is your favorite dynamic to write overall? What about just non romantic ones? What about just romantic ones?
NR-Britiana and Darius when they have their bickering moments. They are siblings.
NR-Amadeus and Lazarus. They're cousins with great teamwork.
Sonja and Zane.
R-Chrystianna and Elias. When she's interacting with him is among the few times I find writing her easiest.
10. Who are your favorite couples in your stories?
Eek. Again. Not much romance so far so I haven't written much coupley-ness, but back when they were first conceptualized, I like Amadeus and Luna a lot but that dynamic is still awhile off. Oh and my flights of fancy about Pasha and Damion have been top notch XD
8: Do you like writing siblings in your stories?
sigh Entirely too much. I've had tendencies in the past when writing fanfic of "everyone's related to this or that important character!" as well x_X But that shouldn't be too much of a problem in Emphyralis given the scope. I just have siblings and cousins everywhere!
10: Do any of your characters really make you hate them?
Draycen and Adonis. They are "bad guys" without big parts, but there's this unlikeability about them both to me. Like Adonis is kinda greasy and smarmy and Draycen just gives me ick vibes. It probably hasn't come across in writing yet, but this is how they are in my head.
11: How important are parents to your stories?
Family is a core concept in my story. Chrystianna is the mother of the two main characters. It's her driving force to save her children that kicks off the series.
12: Who are your favorite side characters?
OMG! Amadeus and Lazarus for sure! Delaney and Sariya. I love Sariya so much I have bonus chapters dedicated solely to her, but she's existed as a character even longer than Britiana so that might be why. Dahlia. She only had a small role, but I think she makes an impression.
Not a side character at all, but there's a minor character that comes in in the last 4th of the story called Gorka who just stole the freakin show. He cracks me tf up!
13: What character do you think is your most unique design?
Sariya. Not because dark elves are rare, especially in a fantasy novel, but i think she's unique in a lot of ways. Compared to how I structured her society, she's small for her race because of thinsg that will be told in her bonus chapters. Unlike every other character, she knows practically no magic and makes her living by hunting. Being a dark elf in the group also makes her stand out, but thats just in the group.
14: What's the hardest chapter/episode you've written so far?
the last fight/battle. Ugh. I used to write power rangers fanfiction where i'd adapt super sentai episodes and even when I visually had a guide to how the fight went, it was still a pain in the arse to write. This time i had to choreograph in my head from scratch ;_; i know it will probably be disappointing to readers, and will have to think about how to make it better when i go to edit it.
15: Who is your most fun character to draw (or if it's a novel) which of your characters aesthetics/fashion statements to you find the most fun?
I can't wait to design Sariya. I haven't felt very artsy, and I only do pixel art, but i did design an emoji head for her XD
16: Do you enjoy writing dialog (specifically long conversations?)
yeah buddy.
18: What's the funniest chapter you've released so far? What is the saddest? What is the most romantic? Are any other scenes coming that will knock these chapters off their pedestals.
i don't which one would be the funniest. Perhaps, because of the character I mentioned before, Gorka, it would be the final fight. The saddest is one in which a funeral happens, but it was a "bad guy" so there's more a reflection centered, where his oldest sister while sad, reflects back on how he got to that point, and his wife tries not to lose her temper at his sisters, and feel heartache for their children. It's probably the most emotional chapter and these aren't even the main characters in the main storyline.
