Yeah, people are notoriously terrible at accurately assessing their own abilities.

Having said that, I think a 0/5 is warranted for me personally.

I would say I'm 3 or 3.5
My coloring though is somewhere between 2.5 and 2

I'm a 3. The more you draw, the more you realize how much more that you have to learn.

I am considering 05 - 1 (I guess that's why people aren't reading my comics) but I just wanna encourage myself a little ... at least some of my portraits looks human and some bg are pass-able ...

Slightly better at this although it takes a hell lot more time to do ... but I can more easily alter the lines/perspective and copy/paste ...

I'm still gonna continue learning tho ... so that I can make better comics .

I'd give myself, like, a 3.5??? I've been told my art looks good, but I still see a lot of room for improvement, haha, and I'd honestly argue that if a 5 is anything near perfection there are a scarce few humans out there that could even hope to get anywhere near that.

With that said, a lot of you guys are severely low-balling yourself. Your art looks good, have some faith. : )

Ahhh I'd say 3? I can make stuff that looks good but I def need to work on my backgrounds/clothing wrinkles/animals/ect before I can even consider calling myself a 5.

I'd say somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4.

Almost every page of my comic represents the best I can do at the time.

If 5 means "you could go pro..." Well, i probably could if I learned digital coloring and really applied myself.. But I don't. I have no interest in doing commission work or drawing other peoples' ideas, honestly, so unless I was doing my own comics full-time, I probably couldn't make it as a professional artist.

Plus, my personal idea of a 5 would be someone like Katsuhiro Otomo, Geof Darrow, or Andy Brase. (Google them. They're awesome.)

I'm pretty hard on myself, but I do know I can sketch very fast. I can't really rate myself, but if I had to give an honest answer to this, I would say a 3. I'm not perfect, and I'm always trying to improve, but the most important thing is always draw for yourself. You will have this "style" that is like a signature, some will think it's chicken scratch, and some will think it looks pretty cool. Try new things, always look at other genre's and study from all of them.

I think that 3.5 works for me. I think I do a good job on character development and expressions, storytelling and lettering, but I need to improve in my writing skills, backgrounds, means of transport and realistic drawing (I don't need that much because I mainly use cartoon style, but you never know). Oh, and coloring too
