Okay so i'm trying to convey events properly in my story
I'm taking some liberties here and there, but i do want to show some things properly

There are some things like Politics, Post Traumatic Growth, No direction in life

There is only so much i can gain from self reflection, research, and documentaries
So i was wondering how other people gain insight on other people's realities, or likewise can share experiences

I'm kinda stumped, and it's kinda difficult to ask people to explain these things in real life

Reading other bits of literature or creative works that cover the subjects you mentioned can actually help a lot - you can observe how the author treats said subjects in their work, and analyse the good and the bad on their technique.

For a book about having no direction in life, try have a look at 'The Catcher in the Rye', it was a controversial book at the time it was released for being a bit 'rebellious'.

In addition to self-reflection, you should reflect on your relationships with other people and their relationships with others. Being both self-aware and aware of the world around you is integral to being a good storyteller.

For politics, read articles by well researched journalists. Consider the psychology of the people mentioned in the articles. Its fine if you don't have a lot to go on, you can make stuff up. In fact that's a great exercise to help think of ideas.

For post traumatic growth, try reading a memoir of someone with PTSD so you can get inside their head.

In regards to lack of a life direction and Catcher in the Rye, a lot of that kind of stuff is about growing up, becoming self aware, and learning what you want out of life. There's a whole genre of literature called Bildungsroman. Essentially coming of age. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean its a problem only young people have, people have recurring stages of this. Think midlife crisis, or Breaking Bad.

Well I don't do real life like comics lol. I think the best you can do is watch movies o read novels about it, or even testimonies, there are a lot in reddit from almost...everything.

there is a fine line i'm trying to balance

For political stuff, like presidental speechs

I watched stuff, and tried to sound as dignified as possible
What i imagine someone in a high position would say

For Post Traumatic Growth
I spent nearly 4 hours watching and reading about Batman, and other people who change

For Lack of direction
I can actually understand it, but i would mostly need help for a parent's perspective

Also other things

Like picking your kid up from a hospital, and he is injuried and won't explain anything
Keeping secrets from everyone around you, even your best friends
Adopting a change in life, that can be considered controversal

Those sort of things
But trying to be fun at the same time

A good speech "I had a dream..." he wasn't a president but everybody knows about him.
Batman is always good.
From lack of direction from a parent's perspective it's probably frustration, that can end up in anger or depression in different levels, it depends of the character.

From a child that won't speak, well it's obvious that something bad happened from bulllying to some even darker things...

From adoting a change in life controversial, real friends will always support you or at least tell you what they think, but in the end they will try to understand you. Conservative family members will or dissaprove or being confused or angry, open minded family members will support or will not really care.

there are lots of other things you could look at in research.

google a year and you will easy see historical events this is always a good way of looking for things that might trigger a conversation between your characters ( maybe as result of a tv news item).

music is always a big issue. everybody has a type of music the love and one they hate ( personally i listen to anything but rap or Jazz)

also study of peoples emotional and mental state could help you a lot if you wish to convey real experience (i for instance am just looking into the levels of grief for a story line i'm planning)

While I won't discourage you from reading Batman, when researching things like surviving and recovering from trauma, it's usually a good idea to read accounts of real people. Even if you tone it down a bit in your comic and make it lighter, starting from a real-world source gives you something solid to go on.

The best way is to actually live life. Go out and get a job and talk to people and just live the real world for a little bit. Get different types of friends, experience heartbreak, it's that, you learn so much from just living life away from computers and the internet. Reading is also fine but you have to keep in mind that that is someone else's portrayal of whatever you want to portray, not only that but reading only about things gives you a very 2-D perspective on things. You can read about mental illness, but until you meet someone with said mental illness you won't know how to properly bring that mental illness to life, know what I mean?

So, yeah, reading is fine, to an extent, but to convey a truer feel to your comic you have to get out there and live those experiences.

I think that if some person actually shared a moment or experience it would be something like:
A: I ate the biggest and crunchiest nachos yesterday!
B: Where?
A: Oh at Apple-web. You should try them too!
B: Apple-web? Ohhhh, I have eat there, but I think Tostada´s are better. My sister almost choked because they were so hard.
A: Really? Then we should go to Tostada sometime!
B: Sure!
As you can see it was sharing an experience that let the other share their experience.
