Regarding Line Webtoons?

I'm new to forums so sorry if I make a mistake. There has been one other post about line webtoons but... I still have unresolved feelings about it. I haven't used it, mind you, so I may be wrong in some assumptions but I heard the forum wasn't very good and it didn't have a community like this. That's mostly beside my point, I guess what I'm really asking is, why do so may people leave tapastic for line? Behind the Aegis, Where Tangents meet, and others have left because they have offers there and I can't blame them, but are there any catches?
As far as I know, they offer some money (if any one has exact numbers, much appreciated) but is it worth it? How did Strays become so popular without needing an income from a comic site like Line? Is most of her income from kickstarters and merch? Can someone on tapastic do the same? Would you get full rights to your comic on LINE or do they essentially own it? I am currently working on Ch 1 of my own comic but I would not want to give up my baby on those terms. I've noticed a trend when people leave, their comic must 1) have been updated on a weekly basis 2) be in the "right" webtoon format they use, not traditional comic panels but strips and 3) be marketable. Is there anything else they look for? If someone has any input on this whole line vs tapastic idea I would be very glad to hear about it.

I believe Strays is popular because they started out before tapastic and already had a fan base. Though that's just my guess, I can't talk for them. XD I remember reading the comic through their actual site before switching to tapastic and discovering them through a banner of another comic site which started out on deviantart.

The difference in the two is this:

Line your hired with a living wage to do the comic exclusively for them (thou you still hold the IP, they hold the publishing rights). Which is cool for getting a good income. But due the inexclusiveness I believe you won't be able to print it for comic con circuits or make merch since that takes money away from Line. Do your sole job is comic creation, oh but according to THIER rules of formatting and content (they have editors I believe)

Taps and anywhere else, you still owe it entirely, IP & publishing rights. This is more of a freelancer options. Most make money off support, book sales, merch, comic con circuits and ad rev.

Maybe try asking SnaiLords. He has a comic on Line. Still on Tapastic too, but updates are less frequent lately.

You can publish your work and you're only giving them digital distribution right which isn't permanent. And even that online exclusivity is quite lenient as you can keep your patreon page.
