Most of my stories origin from dreams. If someone want's to use the following one as inspiration, go ahead:
It's a world, where magic exist but it isn't welcome and people fear those with magic abilities. There aren't many of them and mostly they hide it. The place is oriental and the main chara is one of the daughters of the king. She is pretty stubborn and sneaks out during the nights to explore. Also she is pretty spoiled but has some good maners. But there is a secret she never tells anyone! She can use magic! This is one of the reasons she sneaks out during the night, so she can train her abilities. They are weak though. The magic in this world is based on knowing how things work and alot of imaginationskill. You can't just summon something or open a locked door. The trick is, you KNOW how the lock works and train your imagination to open it. In her case she trained herself to grow some tiny hocks on the skin of her hand, so she is able to climb buildings very easy. One of the hardest things to learn is to control the elements around you. Sometimes, when she is ultra angry and stressed out, a flame will apear on her hands. She fears those moments.
on a normal day, where everything was perfect, she was informed that she will marry someone from a kingdom far away! She is ofcourse veeeeery happy about that... you can imagine, I guess. But her father, who spoiled her before, stays strict and no begging and crying helped.
Some days later she has to leave all she knows to a cold and unfriendly looking place. She hates it. Her new fiance isn't happy about her eather. He is the kinda tipe who would sit in his studyroom for days without speaking to anybody just focusing on his work. And now he has to look after such a stubborn future wife. But his father choosed him to rule over this tiny little region in the mountains. Atleast it was far away from the big cities, so he has some peace(or had ^^ ).
Well, long story short, they hate each other at the beginning.
Later on they will find interest in each other. Especially after he finds out, his wife is able to use magic, too. (jea, he's a mage, too. Jay)
I hope this was worth to read for you and my english didn't gave you eyecancer. I won't use this for a comic, so as I said, feel free to take this idea. I even might have some characterdesings somewhere around.
