Hello friends, I'm looking for some rather specific help in collaboration on my own project.
I'm a huge fan of manga based works, especially ones with a good amount of detail and shading. However my style that I do for my other works simply does not fit the manga style. For example my current style is something that works best in things like illustrations used in Light Novels. One of my projects is doing a Light Novel and it's much easier for me to create illustrations that best fit this kind of genre.
But a manga is a lot different from a Light Novel when it comes to illustrations. Light Novels, though not always, I've found are often very distinct and in depth and work great as a single, large image not necessarily as something done in many different panels surprisingly. While I want to focus on my Light Novel, I want to also continue my manga but I also want to give it that manga-like feel to it.
What I hope for is very simple.
1.) All I ask is that someone be able to provide the right kind of tones and effects to a page I send them. This page would be clean and shaded, all I ask is that someone take that page and give it the effects and tones they think is necessary to make it look like a legitimate manga.
That above is my main concern. My secondary goals would be...
2.) Page Editor. Someone who can take a page and just look over it. I for example might send a raw page and the collaborator would fix up any points that need to be done. Maybe the nose is off, maybe the eyes are too lose. I'm not asking to draw a page, I only hope for some minor editing to improve a page.
3.) Shading. This is something that I honestly don't mind doing myself and would probably rather do as well but one was willing to help shade pages, that would be great.
How many pages?
Just having someone help on one page a week would be great, though the more that can be done the better.
Payment: I can't offer any direct payment for now but I'd be willing to help collaborate in terms of revenue gained and keep up a collaborated work. If the work becomes popular enough and earns ore money, I'd be more than happy to balance the share out more in the collaborators favor. So what might start out as a 90/10 share might become 80/20 then 70/30 and so on.
I'm not asking for someone to write an entire story or draw entire pages. I'm asking for someone to help me with some of the basics, the most prominent being manga tones for those rather adept using manga tones.
