Seeking new comic opinions

I started writing a comic book out of the blue a couple of years ago. Since then, I've been improving the drawings (a process that can be seen in the first 10 pages), and revising the narrative and dialogue. After this effort, I think I have achieved something that is at least slightly better than mediocre, and which is fairly unique.

I would love to hear opinions... in particular, I am not sure if I should invest the time to redraw the first 10 pages. I like to see the process of developing the style, but I am afraid that the poor art in these first pages will discourage readers.

You've got a very unique comic here! I read up through chapter two so far, and the general strangeness and mystery was enough to string me along the whole time.

Art-wise, you've definitely had a ton of improvement, even just from the start to the end of chapter 2! Pages 1-3 are a little sketchy (page 2 in particular is... notably worse quality than any of the other pages) but I don't know that they're necessarily worth re-doing, at this point at least. If you ever reach a point where the story is concluded or you're wanting to print a book off, then they'd be worth touching up probably xD

Since the update already extends beyond where the art is kind of sketchy though I don't think it'll turn away too many readers. Especially since your banner and Cover page at the very beginning already show off where the art is going! Anyhoo, I dropped it a sub~ I don't have anything quite like this in my tapas library and I'm interested to see where it goes.

I've read the first 3 chapters so far and I'm totally hooked! Love the idea of the microbial supermind :3

As for the style, I skimmed over the newest update and your art looks so polished and professional! And the shadows create a lot more depth in the images. Are you making a book out of this story?

Thanks! The bacterial brain is definitely fun to think about, and seems like the natural extrapolation of a lot of recent biological discoveries (i.e. work of Bonnie Bassler). I hope you like the rest of the story!

Ah, I definitely love the unique art style that you have! It can get a little messy when there are so many characters in one scene, so I like how you keep the backgrounds at minimal (for instance, the third and fourth panel in page 84).

I think it would be even less of a clutter, though, if you had just erased all the lines where the speech balloons are connected:

Also, for the sake of those reading with their mobile phones, I think it's a good idea to increase the text size.

Clip studio paint gives you to option to merge the speech bubbles if they touch. That's the only software I know so far that does it

Thanks! I have Clip studio, and it's what I use for drawing, but for some reason I didn't end up using it for page layout... I think my reason might have been that I like putting drop-shadows behind my thought and speech bubbles.
