Hello @nickysoh. I will be tabling at Phoenix Comic Con as well in June. Featuring my friends work and our collaborative work on Lockhart.

I'll only be going to one con this year (which is more than I can say for the last several years actually... sad)

Its a repetitively small event (by Comicon standards) but its only 3 years old and still growing ^_^

It will be running July 23rd & 24th this year and I'll be sharing a table with a good friend of mine who is coming out from Phoenix, AZ for the event. I'm not sure what all I will have for sale yet but I'm hoping to get some posters, buttons, key-chains, and if I can manage to get the time I might be able to print Chapter 1 (but I need to do some re-drawing first)

I just attended Onyxcon: Sankofa convention about 2 weekends ago with my print series, The Clique- it was my 1st con behind the table in almost 2 decades. It was cool- got to meet new fans, friends, and got a feel for the whole thing. Sold a good amount of books...

I'm doing the Atlanta Sci-Fi & Fantasy Expo the weekend of 3/5- it's another smaller convention/show. Hoping I can do well there too.

After that I'm doing a larger con in MomoCon this Memorial Day weekend. I'm so excited that I was able to get a spot this show- it's larger than some of the smaller cons, but still pales in comparison to Dragon Con.

After that, I'm aiming for the 2nd Onyxcon in mid August. I just also applied to AWA(Anime Weekend Atlanta) which is at the end of August...as for me doing any shows between June & August or after August- not sure. I'll have to see...

Yeah I came through Atlanta Comic Convention- mainly as a spectator/customer. Almost everytime I hit the website, i'm too late...I shot an e-mail to one of the guys running it, so I hope they can get me on the next show- unless it coincides with another show that I've already committed to.

Hey, we're going to be at the Atlanta Sci-fi Expo too! Though we're only doing a panel series, not tabling. Do you know what table you'll be at?

Also: Seriously, there is very little point in trying to get into DragonCon at this stage in the game. For sales it's crazy competitive with the amount of mainstream people that you're gonna up against. It's expensive, it's exhausting and while sales are great, that means you have to have LOADS of merch to break even. :/ If you wanna go Dragon as a small webcomic ask if you could get in on some panels where webcomics could be relevant, or offer to moderate. <3 You'll get much farther there!

I dont even bother with Dragon Con. Sh** is WAAAY too pricey, and at this point with me trying to build readership/audience- I'd lose more $$$ than make more. Maybe down the road when my readership has grown considerably.

Yeah. I'm paying my table fee this weekend for MomoCon, so all I'd have to do until then is make sure I have an ample supply of books/posters & stuff.

holy shit the tables for SIS16 just sold out in less than 40 minutes. D: I managed to nab one but they dropped from 110 tables to eight tables left in ten minutes.

For context, this is a small, Swedish small-press festival. It's not like it's SDCC. I thought last year was crazy when all the tables went in less than twelve hours. And now they went in less than one?

... my hands are shaking.

Welp, you got a table- that's all that matters right now.

If you know next year's date, you may want to plan and see if you'll be okay financially enough to do that- and register as soon as it starts. I did that with applying for MomoCon....

They don't have pre-registration for tables! They just announce a date for the con (usually in January - the con is in May), and then about a week before they open table-bookings, they announce it on their social media accounts - and on the day they open table-booking, they just... open it, and it's a free-for-all.

Previous years, it's been easier to get a table, but it's been getting crazy in the past two years - they have really outgrown their venue.

@jdthomaswriter That sounds wonderful! I'm tabling with someone else so as soon as I get the number from her I'll let you know. We actually have a big group of friends, my first time in Phoenix, kinda nervous. I hear its a fantastic show.

@Shanny8 Atlanta should be a good convention, I use to study at Savannah and have heard great things about it!

@agentfink Is this your first time at SDCC? It's going to be crazy in terms of crowd and also freebies and what not. I don't have great experience in the comic sections because the artist tabling are mostly.... hmmm unfriendly and unenergetic. Hope this year goes great for you!

@nickysoh I've been going to SDCC for a number of years now, it's changed a lot in the past 10! Mostly it's an excuse to visit family in the area (I'm up in Los Angeles) So it's a yearly thing to see the in-laws etc... and maybe find a few treasures Are you in CA?

@agentfink hahah I wish I'm in CA. Nope, I'm in NJ. Went once to SDCC. really like it, as a fan to see so much stuff. But it's kinda sad when it comes to the comic section.

Went to SDCC back in 96. It was really cool...a couple years after that, people started tellin me that it wasnt what it used to be- that they were shrinking the comics section in favor of Hollywood. So I've never had a desire to want to go back...

I know there's like....NO ONE up here from the Tap community, but I thought I would ask XD

I'll be tabling there selling copies of my comic and a bunch of other thiiiinggsss...It'll be my first convention so I'm excited.

I also plan on going to Senshi Con later this fall.
