I know, I'm saying he should have at least told him just in a narrative sense, heightens the drama and characters a bit(shows that the bad guy is so far of the deep-end that he can't or doesn't wanna accept the truth), since if not then that thread is left opened, even if he doesn't wanna hear it, he was the king he could have made him at least listen, that he believes him or not isn't what bothers me, its that he didn't even try to tell him.
edit: also it would have made the others scenes more powerful, one doesn't accept or care for the truth while the other one hates it and in the end accepts it and does something about it
