My new series is a collection of short stories that revolves around science fiction and dark themes. So each story is like a "byte" of information. Which is why I called it the Dark Bytes!

The story focuses a lot on the romances of four room-mates, so "RomaMates".... That title probably took me longer than it should to decide on, but it just felt right once I thought about it.

The name of my main comic is sort of a tribute to two of its major influences—Charles Schulz's Peanuts and Kiyohiko Azuma's Azumanga Daioh—in that they are both comics about idiosyncratic schoolchildren with names that have nothing whatsoever to do with anything in them.

I really like elegant single word titles that have a lot of meanings you can read into them because they feel very modern and clean, so I named my comic "Errant".

It evokes the idea that it's a comic about knights (a knight errant is a wandering knight out doing quests in the world), and when something or someone is "errant" it means they're out of bounds or wandering somewhere, perhaps somewhere unexpected or where they shouldn't be, or even that the person or object is lost.

I also really liked the idea that when attached to things in a wider meta-textual context, it becomes kind of funny. "Errant fans", "Errant merchandise" etc.

The reason for the title of "Stars in Roses" won't become obvious until later on in the series. I'd say the reason, but there's spoilers involved.
XD My co-author and I JUST launched a few weeks ago, so there's still so much that needs to happen first.

"Memento Mori" :

An object kept as a reminder of the inevitability of death, such as a skull.
Memento is the 2nd person singular active imperative of meminī, "to remember, to bear in mind", usually serving as a warning: "remember!" Mori is the present infinitive of the deponent verb morior, literally "to die". In other words, "remember death" or "remember that you will die"

Well, i could still put more about it, but i think it's obvious that my comic has a strong bound to death.

The choice of the title "Memento Mori - Sins" comes from the fact that "Memento Mori" is the creed of the protagonist who's a women during the prohibition era that have become a contract killer and "Sins" because of the rotten nature of the world in which the story takes place (Crime, corruption, murder and so on ...).

My story revolves around meta-games and how a character addicted to the virtual reality eventually goes through a metamorphosis and matures.
So combining both words, I got meta:Morph!
