Monami Kun, the illustrator of The Real Women of the US Military, drew this after we'd taken a research trip to a flight museum so she could learn how to draw WW2 aircraft. I was allowed by the museum director to sit in the cockpit of a P-51 Mustang so I could take reference pictures of the cockpit's interior, and Monami in turn snapped a picture of me. I saw it, liked it, and said, "Let's draw that! I want that for my logo!"
While I no longer look like this, having lost weight and my hair due to illness, it's still a cool logo, so I still use it.
