Tapas just blocked the latest release of my comic, Enoch: The First City, until I censored it. It wasn’t even sexy — just a moment in a mature story that demanded nudity.

Luckily, the moderators were kind enough to get my comic back up quickly as soon as I edited the offending panel.

That got me thinking — I want to see more comics that include serious/mature topics! Bonus points if you’ve had to censor something!

Hi! I have a mature comic too!
I wanted to be cautious and censor any graphic scene/ dialogue, so I haven't received any warning from Tapas! I hope your work grows well!

Nixvir doesn't look mature but it will. It includes strong graphic violence and themes of power, religious fanaticism, the cost of being a hero in an unfair world, substance use, et cetera.

Uh... yeah my novel is definitely M-rated. There are a lot of more mature/alluded to mature scenes and concepts and It's only going to get more mature as it goes on tbh.

Mines currently rated Pg13 / 14+ or 14+M // Its action, horror, mystery, fantasy and supernatural.
Havent had an issue on Tapas yet. But either got a bot, or reader flag my recent censored page on Webtoons. The shirt shes is wearing covers 80% of her whole upper torso. A swim suit covers like what just barely G rated spots. But yet I guess 80% is still nudity. Which confuses me further is that I already censor her top. Due to how females are viewed.
I reuploaded it with a note added to the page itself. In relation to the nonsese of it all. No issues since.
I tend to over censor.
I keep my uncesored one on Comic Fury. I put a note in each censored page about where to find it. Comic Fury has age gates / blockers. And people tend to flock there for the full read.
Once it becomes too involved for Tapas Ill have to really censor it more for B, V, etc.
There is no adult content in my 14+ manga.

Oh, that's a good idea, sending readers out to alternate sites. I never even tried to post on Webtoon, their rules are so strict.
This is a really cool comic! Super moody, and I love the lighting effects.

My comic is mature due to some heavy talks about mental health and bigotry. Tho eventually we'll be dabbling into cross speices relationships which will prob be more R rated than tapas can handel so thoes pages will prob go up on patreon or other more lax websites.

unless i heavly cencor them which could ruin the entire point of the scene XD

These dragons look amazing. Heavy topics in fantastic settings are my favorite things. Why write fantasy if you can't use it to hold a funhouse mirror to real life?

There are some darker BL scenes coming up soon, alsp contains violence but tis not all bad, it gets better
