Should I countinue my webtoon?

I think cause I love the story. But when I want to contineu, I realized that I don't have asset for them. which my webtoon art it's depend on 3d background. I have learn that now I should set the asset before start making webtoon :')

I accually want to finish my webtoon, but now it's giving me hard time, but it's not I don't like making them. now I think I just give up on my previous webtoon.

ahh I watched his video to for drawing face. and I tried my webtoon for living, so I learn the standart for webtoon which using 3d model for background, and it really saving my time, but I realized the standart to high for me for poor artist. and my genre I make also hard for simpel drawing.

I say this as kindly as I can, because I've been there but it's obvious that English isn't your first language. It's often neglected but if your webtoons have been in English (like the title may suggest) this post is any indication of the level of language in it, it might be the writing that's putting people off. Small mistakes here and there can be tolerated but if it's like this for a written work of art it won't pass for most people.

Your drawings look fine (though I agree with others that if you have no deadline ditch the 3D assets for the backgrounds and draw, even if it looks worse for a while it'll allow you to be good enough later to make backgrounds with character the way you want), so I don't think that would be what's putting people off.

Don't change your artstyle for anyone's taste other than your own unless explicitly paid for a project to do so (for example if you're animating ar Disney, you do Disney style) You are the one creating, and if you're having trouble finishing your stories then looking for outside validation is just going to make that even harder. Make something that you like, assume no one else will read it, and still love it enough to finish because you're having fun with it. I've found that makes more people come and read.

Also: not winning the webtoon contest is winning it. The winners of that th get slave contracts.

I also do fantasy romance, but like an idiot, I create my own 3d models for backgrounds. 0/10, I do not recommend it, it’s way too much effort for something that most readers will skim over.

Depending on what you’re going for, store bought assets should be fine. Yeah people complain when they see sketchup 3d background, but for most purposes they work like a stage in a play, they set the scene and the reader can fill in the blank with their mind. Try not to use them in a way that they attract attention to themselves. Like having what is supposed to be bustling cities be in actuality a ghost town, or a modern cruise ship show up in your turn of the century steampunk drama. You also don’t have to use them all the time. For some scenes, drawing it ‘normally’ can be the best way.

3D assets are tools that can save a lot of work, but just like everything can be misused. But if it is the thing that allows you to focus on the part that is really important for you, go for it. Most of us do this for fun, and the bar for professional use of 3d background is so low, that you’re bound to do better than most

Based on what I gather from this post, I would assume your webtoons are hard to read, actually. The art itself is beautiful imo so maybe you need to work on the script side a bit more? Also, I would recommend looking inwards and trying to understand why you want to make webtoons. Is it for the readers? Because you want to tell that story even if noone listens? Or another reason? There's nothing wrong with looking for acknowledgement for your work and I think that's natural to want. But. It does mean you will need to learn how to write in a popular genre, using clear language. This is just an example.

Personally, I think it's much more sustainable if you work towards something that lights a fire in you. Something you want to say, show, leave behind in the world after you're gone.

Just to be clear, I used to be really bad at English/writing, too. It's something you need to spend time and effort on to improve, just as you have done with your art. Have you considered finding a writer to collab with? Someone who has similar goals and attitude towards webtoons.

Edit: or someone who can help you learn English and/or proofread your scripts.

yes, my English isn't my firts language. and for webtoon that just the tittle, I don't even wanna try change my webtoon language with my poor english hehe :']

Hah, I'm one of those idiots too, and yes, most of the time, it's underappreciated by the readers. But I give myself extra work for the self satisfaction, cause I feel real chuffed when a background turns out good.

Have you considered joining a studio, in that case? I remember seeing some around the site and the discord server. I'm sure there are studios willing to take on a character artist

What language is your webtoon in? And do you prefer drawing for your own stories or are you fine with drawing someone else's ideas? Or do you want to work together on the ideas too? What are your short term and long term goals? If you can answer these questions, it might help you find what/who you're looking for

If in international not yet. In my country It's really hard for artist, because They hardly value you and pay you poorly. I've been to a few interviews, but I didn't go through with them because the pay just didn’t make sense.

My webtoon language in Indonesian language. Im fine with someone story and any art style as long I can. In short and long my goal just one, to be webtoon artist with my own story or some else. Because I want to make good story come true.

I´m glad that there are people who put effort into backgrounds.
I always been a panel absorber since I was a kid, I check backgrounds
for every little detail and they have always been super important for me.
I also read comic multiple times to take in all details.
But that´s maybe because I grew up with print comics like Tintin (backgrounds
way more detailed than characters) Asterix (beautiful drawn backgrounds in
almost every panel)
