Should I mark this as mature content?

There;s this one page in my comic, 29 here that I'm not sure if I should mark it as mature content. It doesn;t look that graphic but is still a decapitation. Just want to make sure????

It does look pretty graphic to me, I'd add Mature.

I'd go with the mature content warning since it shows the decapitated body with the bloody neck.

Whenever I'm on the fence about this, I like to imagine I'm going to be showing the comic to some sweet, frail old lady. If she reads it and isn't proud enough to put it on her fridge, I know it belongs with the crotchety old man who tells funny war stories instead.

Might not be particularly helpful, but it's a fun exercise nonetheless.

The website rating guidelines are your friend in cases like this one, but in case of Tapas... ^__^; Vague guidelines are vague?

Out of sheer curiousity, does the Mature Content tag affect your exposition in any way? If it doesn't, I'd make a policy of using it whenever I'm in doubt. If it does, I'd consider asking the staff for clarifications

On-screen decapitation would probably be considered mature, yes.

The problem with the "can you show it to your mom/boss?" thing is some people have really prude moms or bosses. Hell some of them think the gay agenda is a thing, or that a short skirt deserves a mature rating to be kept away from the innocent little children so they dont -gasp- masturbate!

It's probably easier to think in stricter terms of what is actually going on on-screen.

I think fist-fights, slaps, and the like would make it without a mature rating just fine.
Chopped off limbs, body parts, graphically detailed gunshot wounds or excessive amounts of blood (say a scene with a dead body that, while it doesn't have any graphically detailed wounds, is lying in a pool of blood with blood smeared all over the room indicating a struggle) might need a mature rating to avoid making some readers squirm.

I also felt very uncomfortable with the stereotype used on this kind of "show-your-grandma/mom" rule.
