Should I post my comic on Tapas / Tapas vs. hosted website?

Hi! I'm new to Tapas. I have two purposes for this post:

1. To promote / ask for opinions on my comic that is NOT on Tapas, but rather, my own comic site Between Forgotten Tides.
   It is a mystery/historical/slice of life heavily inspired by Over the Garden Wall and Cannery Row. There are only two chapters so far, but if you do take a look (thank you for doing so!) do you think that this is something that should belong on Tapas? Why or why not? Can it support music, are scheduled page/chapter updates mandatory, would the A4 layout work, etc.?

2. My own comic aside, a more general question: Do you think Tapas has an advantage over posting your comic on your own personalized/hosted website? What are the pros and cons to both?

Oh my goodness, your work is absolutely gorgeous!

I suppose it depends on what you’d like to get out of Tapas, really. I think it’s good to do, event if you just use Tapas as a springboard to filter readers to your website (as you can add links and banners in each episode).

woah your comic is so beautiful, tapas supports music via soundcloud if i'm not mistaken,
you can also upload your comic on webtoons (although it's up to you if you want to upload your comic on both webtoon and tapas you hold your IP anyway).

tapas
Pros: more exposure to your comic, possible unlocking of support ink when you reach 250 subs

Webtoons
Pros: more exposure, more reader, unlocking ad rev when you reach 1k subs and 40k pageview.
(though you can't put music on webtoon canvas)

Cons will be, you have to arrange your comic into a toon/scrollable format

though your comic is already good in format, maybe you can add spaces on every panel,

anyway your comic is good! it needs exposure, and of course posting on platforms is an advantage over a personal website.

Ok so, first of all, your comic looks stunning! It deserves a lot more attention imo and I think that Tapas would be a great site to host it. I believe it would grant you a lot more exposure and feedback!

Thanks so much! I'm really considering it - while having my own website feels empowering, almost nobody knows about it. So yeah I might just end up taking your advice on that one and posting it here once I have a bit more to share
