Should I post the novel version, when I already have the comic published?

Hello there!

So as the title suggest, I’ve just published my webcomic:

romance in White Flower Garden | Tapas

And now I’m wondering if I should write the novel too or not.
I’m primarily an illustrator (now, turned comic artist), but I do love writing.
AFAIK, people are inclined to read comics than read novels, but there are people like me, who prefer novels than comics, which I have to admit, a weird thing for an illustrator who’s supposed to be very visual.

So what do you peeps think?

The more ways you can express your creativity, the better it is for you and your readers.

Do it. If there is more to the story that can best be shared in novel form ,give it a shot. The best series are adapted into multiple mediums.

That's what i am doing with my series. I am making a novel series of The Dark of the Night while I work on the comic version. Plus it gives you ideas on to practice your writing and drawing skills at the same time. Though I suggest if you want to release the comic I would suggest wait until your novel grows a good follow then surprise your readers by releasing the coming on a special occasion like inksgiving or anniversary special

If it's already finished, yes! But if you haven't written the novel version, then no. You only have so much time in your day, and working on a novel version will take up time you could spend working on the comic itself.

If you really want to work on a second project that's a novel, it'd be best to work on something completely different, but that itself might not even be the best path until your comic is complete. A lot of creators overextend themselves and end up not being able to do as much work on their projects because they have too much going on at once, and that can frustrate readers and fans of each story while it's not getting enough love (I, Thedude3445, am an extreme example of this and I very much recommend nobody follow in my footsteps lol).

So I have both-- Alchemist Burn Outs, which is a comic, and I did about a books worth of pages of it, when I wanted to work on different things (I put like 2 years of updates in there) so it made sense for me to continue the story to it's completion as a novel (which I just call Alchemist Burn Outs: the Novel and I think people get it). I wanted to redo the ending anyway, and changing stuff in writing is just a lot easier than comics. I've grown as an author since I originally wrote it, and the story was...actually originally a novel, so really I'm just going back to the original format.

So it depends on how much work you've already completed of the novel. It does take a while to upload all the stuff, and then find the music to go with the updates. It's also a different group of people that tend to read the novel vs the comic.

Ah yes! That's also my concern. Making the comic is already taking most of my time, and God knows I'll want the novel to have beautiful and somewhat poetic prose... It'll took a lot of time too.
