I’ve been working on my comic in page format, but I’m wondering if scroll format comics generally do better? Do you personally prefer page or scroll formatted comics? If so, does anyone have an advice on using the format effectively?
If you want to publish your work on Tapas, it's better to use scrolling comics (webtoon format).
After all, many people read using the mobile app. Also pay attention to the text size, make sure it's suitable for viewing on mobile phones.
I personally prefer page format. I think its the type of thing that will vary in preference from person to person, but on tapas it favours scroll format. something like comicfury favours page by page. also, if you want to print it out, you'd have to keep in mind that itd need to be converted to page by page format if you do scroll.
I prefer the look of page comics. I really hate how empty/barren alot of scroll comics feel in their spacing of text and art. I think having the art/text compact together in a page setting generally ends up looking more satisfying. If you're considering/think you will ever make physical prints of your comic, absolutely keep the page format.

Page format all the way baby, whether print or desktop or even mobile, page layout is just more interesting to look at
