Hey! Here's a manga idea that I got in high school about ten years ago, and have finally put to paper. It's fantasy-ish, magical girls and boys, but nothing too cutesy about it.

I try to read it...but the watermark was to distracting. Any reason for the watermark?

So that it doesn't get stolen. It's happened before. Went to a convention and saw some of my fanart being sold by someone who obviously wasn't me, so that has made me a bit paranoid. I can try to make if smaller for future pages.

I understand the fear of art getting stolen, but this punishes more the people wanting to read than the people stealing. Most creators here don't use watermark and sadly we all are in danger of art theft Is an unavoidable problem.

Tapas does have a function to not allow downloading of your pages, but with the power of print screen they still can take the art. Still you should not focus on possible theft of art and instead on the possible fans wanting to read your comic. This is just my thoughts of course.

No you are right. Like I said, I will still put a watermark, but make it smaller or less noticeable at the very least. Although I do need to point out, that of all the people who have read my comic so far, not a single one has mentioned the watermark was distracting in any way.

Good luck with your return!, the trick to keep a schedule is to make it a habit, like brushing your teeth. It takes time, but eventually happens.

I've totally missed out on this thread!
My current comic is the first "Jahanniverse" story (the name of my extended fictional universe) I've got several other stories already planned for this universe!

It's called Flirting With Death and it's a supernatural action story inspired by 80s action flicks (as a result it's very very 80s, slang and all...)
It's got GL and BL romantic subplots and a diverse cast of characters all wrapped up in a criminal world! The main character basically teams up with an angel, a demon and a ghost to prevent his predicted death from happening.
