It can be very frustrating! Fortunately, I figured it out before it drove me completely batty XD The most frustrating thing? The solution was RIGHT in front of me the whole time!
Exactly. And they can get pretty costly too...
As someone who does 3D modeling, I know how much time and energy it takes to create such things, so I make sure to leave info about where the assets came from at DeviantArt when I post them there. I'm also trying to come up with other ways to credit the artists that help make my illustrations possible
I enjoy both 3D modeling and animation as well as creating comics! Going into grad school, I was torn between which route to take, but I ended up taking enough classes in illustration and comics that I'll probably be able to get a sequential art degree too with just a few more classes after I finish the 3D Animation degree.
Maya is great! There's a steep learning curve, but it is an extremely powerful program. Yes, I love my Wacom too, so I can see why it won out! XD
I think I might start posting some of my 3D modeling too. I have ideas for creating some cartoonish assets and scenes for a project I've been thinking about...
I love using the iPad for art. It's like my little sidekick. Many artists and writers carry a sketchbook. I do too, but it's just on my iPad! X)
Haha! Sounds like my Dad when I start ogling the latest artsy-tech gadget! XD
It's a good thing I save for these things... lol.
